Bastion

US Popularity Rank: 11085

Origin: Latin

Meaning: Venerable, revered

Now a name in its own right, Bastion is a variant of the masculine Greek name Sebastian, meaning "venerable" and "revered." Using those two words to describe the epic 1984 children's movie The NeverEnding Story wouldn't be a stretch. For two reasons, baby will fall in love with the story of the boy on his magical adventure. The first: it's a tremendous film. The second is our boy hero, Bastian Balthazar Bux, who will allow baby Bastion to easily transport themselves into their namesake's mind.
